RAF2000 Training in Scotland

Kevin Whitehead is now able to train pilots who own an RAF 2000 Gyrocopter at The Gyrocopter Experience - Perth.

The RAF 2000 is a fully enclosed kit-built Gyrocopter which has been flying in the UK for many years. Kevin is a great fan of the RAF 2000 and personally owns G-SAYS. He is currently training Neil Smith who owns G-IMEL. Neil hopes to use his Gyrocopter to fly between his farm on the Isle of Coll and Oban on the mainland of Scotland.

If you are thinking of owning an RAF 2000 and would like training, please contact Kevin at kevin.whitehead@GyrocopterExperience.com. Kevin also offers training and experience flights in his MTO Sport.

Countdown to the Cavalon - Devon

The first production Cavalon Gyrocopter is now due to be delivered to The Gyrocopter Experience - Devon before the end of the Month. The countdown has changed from being counted in months, to weeks and will soon be in days. Nick Wright of The Gyrocopter Experience - Devon is so excited to be the first school in the UK to offer training on this machine. "Whilst I am still looking forward to continuing training on my open cockpit gyro, it will be great to fly in an enclosed Gyrocopter as well. I just cant wait!"

The Flying Exercises - Now Available in German Language!

The popular Gyrocopter Pilot?s Handbook by Phil Harwood has been translated into German by Arnold Upmeyer and has just been published.

Phil and Arnold presented the first copy of the book to Thomas Kiggen, the Chief Flying Instructor at Auto-Gyro, who manufactures the MTOSport, The Calidus and The Cavalon. Thomas was influential in the design of the book, relating the content to the German Syllabus.

Tragschrauber - Gyrocopter Handbuch f?r Piloten ? Flug?bungen is available from the gift shop and can be shipped anywhere in the world.

British Rotorcraft Association Conference and AGM

The British Rotorcraft Association are hosting a Gyroplane Conference on Sunday 24th March 2013 at The Brant Inn, Groby, Leicester starting at 1pm.

The conference is open to all Gyroplane enthusiasts although if you are not a B.R.A. member it would be helpful to register with chairman@BritishRotorcraftAssociation.org in advance so that the number of attendees can be predicted. Topics this year include presentations from the CAA and the LAA on matters affecting Gyroplane pilots and owners as well as a review on what has happened within the Gyroplane Community within the UK during the past year and what is predicted to happen in the Community during the next 12 months. It will be a lot of fun.

Must Fly!
