Our Airfield

Chiltern Park Aerodrome is a friendly grass airstrip offering a?tranquil atmosphere in a quiet rural location between Reading and Wallingford.

Trainee pilots are very welcome to bring friends and family along with them when they come for a trial flight.

Meet the Staff

Andy Jones

Andy is a qualified Gyrocopter Flying Instructor and Examiner. He has flying experience spanning over 20 yrs. He is the Chief Flying Instructor at Gyrocopter Experience Oxford and is qualified to instruct on all factory built open and enclosed gyrocopters. His aim is to make your Gyrocopter experience as enjoyable as possible and will tailor an IAPGT training program or Experience flight to suit your needs. Clive Rose

Clive is a graduate of the IAPGT Training Academy and is qualified to Instruct you in all factory-built open- and enclosed Gyrocopters. His first flying lesson (in a Cessna!) was in 1979 and he discovered Gyrocopters in 2009.
He can create a video of your Gyrocopter Experience to show friends and family and will tailor an IAPGT training program or Experience Flight to suit your specific needs. Give him a call on 0777 333 8020 to discuss your requirements!

Our Aircraft

Our training machines are the Magni M16 (G-CITM and G-CIRH) and Rotorsport MTOSport?(G-CGEW).

We also have a Magni M24 available for enclosed side by side training.

We can also train you in your own tandem or side by side gyrocopter.

Postcode OX10 6AS will bring you right to the airfield.

From the North or North East (M40)

Leave the M40 at Junction 6 and turn towards Watlington. At the T-junction in Watlington, turn right and follow signs to Benson. Follow the road through Benson. Turn?left at the BP garage onto the A 4074. Follow the road for 4 miles before seeing a microlight sign pointing right. The airfield is 300 metres down the road. Park on the right.?

From the South (A34)

Turn off at Didcot A4130. Travel through Didcot following signs for Wallingford. Take the ring road (right) around Wallingford. At the 4th roundabout follow the signs for A4074 Reading.Then follow the instructions above.

From South or South East (M4)

Leave the M4 at junction 12. Take the A4 towards Newbury. Turn right onto the A340 towards Pangbourne. Follow the road through Pangbourne and Goring towards Wallingford. This becomes A329. Pass Cholsey and then turn right at the next roundabout. At the next roundabout, follow the A4074 towards Reading. Then follow the instructions above.
