Andy Jones pops into Rufforth on cross country solo expedition PDF Print E-mail

ImageOn Thursday 9th October, gyrocopter student Andy Jones took off from Wickenby airfield in Lincoln and landed at Rufforth airfield east, York as part of his qualifying cross country flying, required for the issue of the PPL(G).

Andy is the first gyrocopter student to pop into Rufforth for a coffee.  Andy trains with instructor Steve Boxall and was flying Steve's Gyrocopter G-CDZZ.  G-CDZZ was the first MT-03 Gyrocopter to fly in the UK.  We are pleased to say that Andy had a great landing, his airmanship was excellent and he was very competent on the radio.

Well done Andy, we wish you luck in your GFT which will no doubt be coming up shortly.  Feel free to call into Rufforth any time.

Steve Boxall can be contacted at www.gyrotraining.co.uk.
