New Gyrocopter Experience location at Salisbury PDF Print E-mail

Steve BoxallThe Gyrocopter Experience is delighted to announce the opening of a new “Gyroport” at Old Sarum airfield near Salisbury in Wiltshire.  Steve Boxall, one of the Gyrocopter Experience’s most experienced Instructors, will be moving to Salisbury from his current base in Lincolnshire and will offer a full range of activities from Trial Flights to PPL(G) training and beyond.

“I’m delighted to be moving to such a great location” said Steve.  “Old Sarum is an airfield which traces its roots back to WW1 and is steeped in history.  We’ll be moving in to a new dedicated rotary-wing area within the hangar complex, and will be able to offer all of the services you would expect from a dedicated gyro facility – flight training, solo flight on school aircraft, hangarage for students’ aircraft and maintenance.   We also know how important it is for our schools to be located in places where there are good facilities, and Old Sarum offers a full-time café, a great atmosphere and plenty of other activities to watch or take part in.”

The airfield management team at Old Sarum has made every effort to welcome the Gyrocopter Experience and our new students.  We’ll be up and running at Old Sarum by the end of April 2010, so if you are interested in flight training or trial flights from this superb new location please contact Steve on 0790 505 9789 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
