Kate Robertson trains at every Gyrocopter Experience Location | |
Kate Robertson, a medical student at Newcastle University passed her Gyrocopter General Flying Test this week having done some part of her training at every Gyrocopter Experience location. Kate started her training just 10 months ago with Kevin Whitehead whilst he was training at York and then continued with him at his location at Perth, Scotland. Next, Kate spent a week at Devon with Nick Wright and then went to the %SHORTNAME-ALGARVE%, Portugal to be the first student to fly with Kevin Robinson this year. In the spring she did a week at %SHORTNAME-YORK% with Phil Harwood and now she has concluded her training with Kevin back in the Algarve. The only Gyrocopter Experience instructor that she did not train with was Steve Boxall from Salisbury....but he flew out to the Algarve to be her examiner.Kate explained "I could only fly at very specific dates due to my university course. I could look at the online diary to see which locations had availability to suit me. It was also great to get experience with different instructors knowing that they all had access to my single set of training notes. Thanks guys, it has been a blast! I'm delighted to my 'Gyro Wings' after only 10 months of training." |
